I looked through the 100s of pictures I took of these fast little creatures and found one I really liked. The bg is a lot less distracting and the face is much clearer.
What do you think? Thank you for looking.

Really like the muted BG colors, tis nice and sharp!!!!

Looks very good Sharna My favorite is the the sharp head and body with lots of density Very good dof for the aperture Usually you need to get them parallel for any detail in the tail area.

You should be able to obtain a uniform bg, not cluttered but is affecting some. The green by the tail and the light area by the the head !!! Got a keeper !!!!

A keeper for sure Sharna! I might clean up the frame edge a bit (top and right) where stuff is touching. If you really wanted to clean up, you might Quick Mask the seed head in the lower right out, but not necessary IMO.

I looked this guy up in my Dragonfly guide and he is a male Blue Dasher, wide spread in at least CA. Dan Brown
