Well, not pure white. But this individual seemed unusually light-colored compared to other Snowy Plovers I've seen, most of which seem to be warm grey sand colored. Maybe I wasn't used to seeing the species in breeding plumage, or I've mostly seen juvies. Anyway, I followed this guy along Bowman's Beach (Sanibel) for some distance, me walking in the edge of the surf and he scurrying along the wrack line. He finally hopped up onto a ridge to give me the eye-level shot I was after. Captured in February 2017.

I like the vegetation surrounding him/her.
The grey, slightly monochrome is different and I like it.
I might take a bit off the bottom for my taste.
The eye seems to have been affected by some heat shimmer,

Nice low angle. Like the vegetation and the composition with the bird looking into the frame.

Bill sweet shot, the HA, vegetation and angle is a winner for me.

I agree the vegetation adds a neat touch here, very nice. I also would take a bit off the bottom (perhaps half way between your signature and the shadow), but OK as is too. The pale grey BG looks great!

Really nice Bill, the vegetation adds to the shot for me, details on the bird are great. I too would crop a little off the bottom

A real beauty Bill!! That clean sand adds a lot for me and as dose the nice greens. Pose, details and exposure look great too. Well done

Thank you all. I agree about the crop. I'm sometimes guilty of defaulting to 3:2 without giving enough thought.
