Had to keep a higher shutter speed to accommodate movement.
Canon 7D II + 180/3.5 lens
f/5.6, 1/400, ISO 800
Canon DPP4 + PS, added slight canvas to right as the sepal was too close to the edge. softening of right lower corner with healing brush. levels.
NIK tonal contrast 35% and detail extractor 30% for selected areas.

I really like this, the bold colours really contrast well. Details are good.
Did you take any at f11, you would have been around ISO 3200, I think that might have been interesting. it would be good to see how the flower head would appear.

Thanks Jonathan,
I had taken about 20 frames @ f5.6 for focus stacking mostly for the head. 8 of them were blurry due to movement, I am attaching the stacked image in Zerene Stacker. Same processing as before. With 7DII, I hadn't had much luck beyond ISO 800. as anything greater than that results in a lot of noise. I am hoping to get a 5DIV in the near future.

The stacked version is nice. Great background. The head of the flower looks red to me they are usually black.

Young flowers of some varieties of Black eyed susan have reddish head. When they mature, the heads turn dark brown.

Very Nice colors.

The Reds and Yellow make the image.

I prefer the un-stacked image. Again, your choice of subjects and use of soft light and color are quite excellent.
