Lovely colors through out this image. The bumble bee looks soft. Great background.

I spent a good deal of time this summer photographing bees on flower heads an know how difficult it can be with the focusing. I Like the colours and the clean background. the bees head and fuzz are nice and sharp on the repost. The centre of the flower looks a little strange, as if it has been desaturated, but I don't know the flower so that is probably as it is.

Thanks David. The top of the flower is the head and is about an inch long, so it if out of focus. The flowers start from the bottom and move up.

Very attractive composition and beautiful colours, I think you mad life difficult for yourself selecting f5.6, I think f8 - f11 would have given more detail in the bee and also enhanced the flower. I will have to keep my eyes open for something similar next year - a very appealing image.
