Hi folks ...another Bear from Kamtchatka .
This guy was watching and feeling annoyed by that bug ...:bg3::t3:bg3:.
Funny moment ... large Brown Bear and a small bug .
As you can see in the FG and BG , there was a lot of heat haze ...only the first day on arrival it was that warm and sunny .
Hope you like it.

Canon EOS 1Dx II
EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
Tripod

F 5,6 ; Iso 640 ; 1/2000 sec ; man exp ; Auto Iso

Processed with C1 and PS CC 2018 ; 65 % of FF ; sharpness has suffered a bit ,due to the distance to subject and hate haze.

Thanks for watching and commenting to my last postings .

Cheers Andreas

Nice low angle and the composition is quite nice. The timing was perfect. Little soft still acceptably sharp to me. I think you meant heat haze. Look forward to more of these bears.

sharpness has suffered a bit ,due to the distance to subject and hate haze.

Sadly, I have to agree Andreas, but a nice moment and I like the framing. Had the same issue the other day whilst photographing Grouse, looked fine through the viewfinder, but binned 85%.

Thanks Basil , John and Steve for your comments , much appreciated .

Steve - a Seal frame would have been there , what you have done with your grouse frames ....:w3. In real time i did not even realized the bug ....:bg3:...just the Bear lifting its head .

John - thanks , yes i meant heat haze . In the intro i was correct BTW .

Cheers Andreas

I just hate when this happens, **** heat haze ruining an other wise cracker of an image Andreas, we've all been there and sadly very little one can do, apart from grabbing that bear and putting it in better light next time :bg3::bg3::bg3:

The raised head and bug interaction deserved better!

Hi Andreas - Lovely pose, catchlight and bg. It really is too bad about the heat haze and its effect on the sharpness. Tones and colors look very nice.

Lost me????

what you have done with your grouse frames

As per my reply - 'but binned 85%.'

If this would have been one of my seal frames ( shot under these conditions ) ....it would have not been posted here . :w3.... instead being binned like the 85 % of your grouse images .

Hope you understand this better .....but for sure my fault sounding a bit cryptic :bg3:

Hi Andreas -- Excellent moment and timing on your part to capture the same. But agree with others regarding the heat haze .

Believe me had it been a tiger with such priceless pose and setting, i too would have kept it in my collection. Certainly it is understandable how one treats its subject as per the ease of getting their images.

TFS !
