Looks great for any ISO. The simplicity and the had angle are great, as is the light on the bird and it's face :)

Lovely capture, Jonathan. Great pose on that neat dried plant/perch, and beautiful soft light. Good catch light and nice background.

Nice pose on the bird. Image held up pretty well for the high ISO. Like the perch and that great background.

Why the very high SS Jon?

Purely to drive the ISO up Steve no other reason. I was curious to see what I and the camera could do at higher ISO.
