Another image captured last weekend.
This one was photographed in the morning in some fairly heavy fog / haze, just as the sun was burning through it.The sun was already a bit higher than I would have liked when it popped through. It was an interesting atmospheric situation as I and the bird were in the fog / haze, but these had already lifted on the other side of the dunes behind the subject toward the mainland.
The birds were flying into a southeast breeze and were cutting across my path at a faily close range...this is one where I managed to not clip any wings.
Some levels adjustments we required to clarify the haziness from the image and I felt that the wing span, tail spread and open beak made for a sucessful image capture?
Nikon D300, 500 AFS~VR, ISO 630, f8
