Took this today on our fennel. Based on the pose, I am wondering if this guy is about ready for chrysalis.

Spectacular Allen! I love it he looks so prominent and defiant, great pose subject plant and a lovely background. Ticks all the boxes for me and I would most definitely leave the tatty leaf top left in.

You really nailed it regarding the focal plane here Allen. You're making a single 200mm f/16 shot look like a stack of 4 images. Great job - it's something I really need to be more conscious of when I'm out shooting. Rich and accurate colors also.

Very nice. The diagonal line the perch and caterpillar make works well. The out of focus yellow right behind the caterpillar's head compliments it quite well.
