Another crested caracara from my shoot in South Texas a few weeks back, taken from a raptor blind. I learned, utilized, and switched to back button focus and I love it! I remember focusing, recomposing and anticipating the take-off...

DPP, levels, sharpening, NR, reduced highlights on feet.

Looks tack sharp with high IQ and I like the up wing with outstretched talons pose. Unfortunately I think the Caracara has already passed you by in this one.

Really nice details and love the out stretched wings. Background is perfect. I agree with John that it would have been even better if the bird was facing us. Also the yellows of the legs and cere are a little over saturated. I would also reduce the reds on the bird as the whole bird has a slight red cast. Looks like you and Gail had an amazing trip.

Excellent takeoff shot, wish the eye contact was a bit more to us.

Great frame here. Like the pose and detail on the bird. I don't think the bird has passed you its head is just turned slightly away.

Great frame, agree regarding eye contact. Nice clean flight image with little distractions.

Fun shot of this guy Ann, but I also agree the lack of eye contact is tough. Still a keeper though.....

Man That is so close to rockstarism I can't believe it!! Ripping details too. He hasn't passed you, he is actually perfect as you can still see the rear wing. The same HA this way would have done it. Keep shooting Girl!! See ya soon
