I made this image at my Home, Lehi UT.

We have lots of wildflowers on the mountain. I went for a stroll early in the morning and found this one.

I choose shallow depth of field and shot this handheld (with minimal wind)

Nikon D850, Sigma 150mm Macro

ISO 1250, f/4.5, 1/1600 sec

Manual Mode, Matrix Metering

Hope you like it.

Thanks for watching.

Thanks
Krishna

Very nice. Like the swallow depth if field and the stages of the flower.

Very delicate. Maybe a little more DOF?

Sorry Krishna doesn't work for me. The title says three stages but the three stages are not in focus, you need a much smaller aperture. If you are serious about flower photography you may wish to consider taking a wind break with you, I can also recommend a tripod, it will slow you down and a consequence make you think more about came settings.

What is a wind break ?
Hi Krishna sorry for the long delay, my PC has been for repair and system reinstalled.
A windbreak is something portable like a couple of canes with a piece of material between them or possible you could use a light reflector to similar effect, even sometimes a camera bag can help.
