Good idea, I like the limited DOF, I think it might be improved if the stamens were a little more discernable, a few tweaks with highlights or luminosity masking would help. I think with this type of image one particular item/area really has to hit you in the eye as it were, I think the three taller stamens need to be accentuated.

I like the colors, subject placement, and BG here. I do find my eye wandering some on the image and looking at the oof petal in the foreground.
