This Grebe showed up as I was standing next to a bridge. I was in the shade and shooting Ducks in full sun,so was extremely under exposed. Just popped up and almost immediately went back under. I think he was surprised too. Processed in DPP 4 ,Photoshop and added some canvas on the right side.Levels adjustment.

Exposure as presented is right on. Image design and and reflections and colors are sublime. The bird does not look razor sharp to me ...

Thanks Artie, I was wondering do you keep any files at less than 100 percent sharpness?

On rare occasion, usually with flight or action. What are your feeling with regards to the sharpness of this image?

The reflection is nice and so are the colors in the water. Agree with Arthur it does look a little soft.

Thanks Artie for the response. I thought it was Sharper but then I looked at the master file not as sharp as I thought.I had three similar files and none were any sharper even with the focus point on the head and upper neck. Operator error.

Colors are very nice. Agree re the sharpness but to me the whole bird has a blue cast to it. The blacks look blue as do the whites.

I agree there is Blue cast to the image. I agree sharpness could be better as well.

Nice Reflection and background colors.

Wonderful dreaminess to this one Kevin in spite of technical issues already pointed out (sharpness, blue cast). I especially like the contrasting soft blue in the foreground rippling into warmer apricot/yellows in the background. Good work getting it in spite of the lack of notice given by the bird.
