I like the preening pose, and the featehrs along the flanks/sides. I'd have preferred less room below (maybe about half what you currently have) and more to our left.

Hi Kevin. Very nice! I like the pose and the background colour. Nice detail in the wing below the beak. I'd reduce the highlights.

There are a lot of distracting highlights on the surface, but I too, like the preening pose, point of view. Agree with Daniel re space below.

Thanks Daniel,for the advice I did recrop just didn't want to crop so hard originally because I had to move the bird in the frame. I cut off the bottom but couldn't add to the left with out adding canvas. Also tried to reduce the high lites.

I think you went he opposite way in the highlights - they are better and more detailed on the original post.
