The flamingo nesting season is coming up in Yucatan. Soon we will be in the hides with some clients to see, hear and photograph the colony. This one is from 2 years ago.

Great isolation between the colours of the adult and the grey chicks. I might have been tempted to take all the colours out of the the 2 adults in the BG - not sure how that fits in with your ethics

Thanks for the comment, Mike. Yes, it is ok with me to take out the two pink spots in the top part. The photo would look better without them for sure.

Agree about removing the two adults, but man what a cool looking image. The adult sure pops against the rest. Very well done.

Hi Lorant, this works for me, and I'm fine with the two pinkies in the BG. I like the vertical comp, good DOF on the adult, and sharp.

I have photographed a fair amount of Flamingo's but have not quite seen a lot of youngsters around during all my times.

Very cool image. As mentioned the pink adult looks great in the sea of young birds. I agree re cloning out the pink birds on top. I would also clone out the bird that is just above and to the left of the head and to the right of your signature as it draws the eye. I would also increase the exposure a little bit.

Lovely Lorant, I'm happy to see the young flamingos near the adult, great image!

This is a really outstanding image. Amazing that you got the one adult and all those young ones. He really pops!

Looks almost like a selectively coloured image.
Love it Lori! It is a favourite from you for sure!
