Taken in Texas. I had been photographing a quail at the water's edge which was in the shade when this wren flew in for a second, thus the settings...

You are full of surprises' girl!
I really like this.
Great back view and HA.
i like the way the tail is slotted through the branch and main stem.
I like the perch and the way the feet are resting agisnt the 2 protruding bark bits.
great BG and nice and sharp.
No nits from me!

You did well with an awkward pose. Ditto Gil's positive's.

I like the pose, the perch and the background. On the 5k imac the head looks soft. It looks like the back and tail are sharper than the head so I am guessing that your focus point was on the back.

Love the perch and BG. I like these look back poses as well. I agree with Isaac re: the head / focus point. TFS

Great pose, perch and background. Love the look-back. I also noted that the back seems sharper than the head.

I too think the region around the eye and cheek is a little less than sharp. I really like the pose and colours.
(Larger images are very unforgiving - the softness may look a tad less apparent at 1200px)

Beautiful capture, Ann. Wonderful light with lovely shade of green in the BG. Like the head turn as well.
