I captured this image last April at Circle B Bar reserve, only recently having post processed it. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Nice colors, reds well controlled.

It appears that the plane of focus is just behind the birds face, based on the different areas of foliage that are sharp.

From a comp. standpoint, a bit more above, because of the direction of gaze.

These guys have begun to return up here, they are a true sign of spring for us! Great perch, but I think I would have sacrificed some of it for more room above. Otherwise great colours and "punch" to the image.

Just started seeing these again in my neck of the woods. I like the perch and the pose. Agree about a tad more above.

I really like the perch, the BG and the "swoop" of the tail.
Agree that more room up top would be great.
I see a bit of a sharpening halo around the head.Easy fix.

Gail, thanks for commenting on the sharpening halo. As you wrote easy fix, I sharpened too aggressively with too large a sharpening radius. I backed both off to correct the image.
