Hi all,

Another gannet from NZ -- the BG here is water and the cliffside. I don't normally like clipped wing type shots but I liked how you can see the feathers getting lifted by the landing. Minor edits, slight crop.

Camera: Nikon D500
Lens: 300mm f4
Specs: 1/4000 ISO 640 f/5.6

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

Tack sharp and a very unique POV. exposure on whites is good.
Lighting is very dramatic and I like the play of shadows and light.
I wish the eye was completely lit up.
I am not a lover of this type of crop- i always wish I could see the whole wing. But having said this I think I would take a bit off the top to eliminate the black part of the wing and match it up to the all white wing,

Hi Alex,
Nice in close flight capture that portrays a sense of dramatic tension. Agree with Gail's comments above. A fine image.

Interesting background with a good exposure. I do not mind the crop.

Thanks all -- I appreciate it. I cropped a bit tighter to eliminate the black part of the wing and made the eye slightly brighter. Thanks again,
