I was really taken by the Orange Hawkweed along the carriage roads of Acadia National Park (Maine). Our local Hawkweed is all of the yellow variety.

Hi Ed,
do really like the colors and sharpness on this. Especially the little bud below. Now if mike and I can convice you to do a vert with some stem..........You're doing very well with controlling the BG's now. I've noticed!

Hi Ed,
Now if Mike and I can convince you to do a vert with some stem
OK, my friends. Its not that I don't shoot verts; its that I don't post them! :p
With this particular flower, I made vertical images but from a different perspective. So without further ado, here is an Ed Vatza vert!;)
Same set up as above.

Hey Ed, I was beginning to wonder if your camera only shot horizontals:D The first post looks good maybe a little tight on the bottom as it clips the buds. I really like the vertical, with the hairy stem, it adds a little extra. When shooting these verticals, straight up is nice, but also consider placing your stem on a diagonal sometimes.

Nice Ed, for some reason I prefer the second post! The first is nice but i might tend to go with a vert as Roman mentioned.
Good Job Ed!

The first post seem to have too much space on the right. I like the second much better. The detail and overall comp are excellent.
