Here's another Snow Bunting form the same session as the one I posted earlier. This one, however, was kind enough to pose beside the remnant of a cornstalk, offering a hint as to what type of habitat these guys are often found in during the winter months.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/8, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, FF, eye work, audio used, car used as blind.

Hi Daniel,
I like this high key look with the snow all around with the bird nicely placed. Nice tones and details on the bird. The cornstalk adds a nice touch.

It looks like a painting, wonderful. Did you just blow out the background whites to achieve this effect?

I really like the pose and the cornstalk. Beautiful composition. On my screen the image looks a little flat. I have many shots this year of Horned Lark in the snow and felt they also had this issue. I will post one of them soon.

Hi Daniel. Really like the high key effect here. Lovely colours, pose and clarity. Feeling cool just looking at this photo (as opposed to the 35C temp here in Brisbane today!

Love the little corn stalk. It adds so much depth and sense of place to the image.
Great POV and I love the white on white,
Gail
