Captured this image in August of 2016 at Nickerson Beach in the late afternoon. The parents were taking turns feeding the juveniles and this one was keeping an eye out for one circling with dinner. C&C welcome.

Hi Geoff, great low perspective here, and I also like the angled pose. I like how the feet have sunk into the sand.A bit central, so taking a touch off the RHS will work.

Geoff:
The lighting has given a nice 3D effect here, with excellent separation of the bird. Nice head angle, catchlight.
Agree with Stu about a sliver off the right, perhaps 10% of the free space.
Cheers

I agree with the above. I usually prefer a lower angle, but here a higher vantage point gave us a good look at the undulating beach.

Agree with the above advice.
I might selectively darken the bill,

Thanks everyone and for the suggestions, including cropping. Gail I thought I liked the original highlights on the bill, but this is clearly better.
