This fella lept up as they are want to do on a walk the other day. Got what I could. Like the color and sense of movement even it it's a bird butt shot.

I really like the colours here, with nice detail on the bird. I just wished the bird wasn't flying away from us.

Jay:

I have to agree with Will. Very nice comp, colors, sense of the environment, but a tough one when the bird is flying away.

I grew up with pheasants , in the Iowa countryside, and miss them. Brought back memories. I can almost hear their distinctive call.

Cheers

Hi Jay, all looks good except the bird flying away as noted. I also grew up going to fields to flush pheasants for fun, so like Randy this brings back memories. Thank you for sharing.

I agree with your self-critique, Jay. The colors and environment are lovely. One of these days you'll get him coming at you (although they do tend to want to go the other way, don't they.)

This is a beautiful scene for sure. The BG and the bird itself is very nice. Is a shame that the bird is flying away.
