Canon 7D MkII, Tamron 150-600 @ 600mm, f/6.3, ss 1/600 ISO 400 on tripod.

Hi David, I like the proud pose showing off his meal, and nicely separated from the BG. Looks like you had too much lens, as the cut off feet is a bit of a distraction.

Nice pose and the prey is neat agree about being too tight in the frame.

Thanks for the replies and I was concerned about the crop but there was a out of focus limb that goes across the image right below the birds feet that I thought was more distracting than the feet being cut off.

I love Limpkins. You have a nice pose here and the food item is a nice bonus. I agree that feet being cut off is not ideal. Did you try cloning out the branch. Also I think the head would benefit from another round of sharpening. The whole image has a green cast to it to I would work on removing.

I have recropped and removed the limb that was below the feet. I also tried to remove the green cast and did a resharpen. Did it help.

Colors look much better. Sharpness does as well. I still think the bird could be a bit more brown and could use a little more reduction of the greens.

Thanks Isaac. I am red/green color blind so I have some trouble with light color cast.

Well considering that you did remarkably well! And helping with things like that is what we are here for and why I think so highly of this forum. Everyone is here to learn and to help.
