Captured this image at Silver Lake, Belmar NJ a couple of overcast days ago. We got lucky with these quite relaxed normally skittish birds. This small group was fishing, rather successfully, allowing for some nice captures with fish in their beaks and in this instance, a wing flap. C&C welcome. Happy Holidays to all and a great New Year.

I can relate in regards to these guys being skittish - especially the males. Perfect wingflap pose, you could not ask for a much better wing position. Perhaps some of the darkest blacks may have some detail to extract. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well!

I like the wing position, raised crest, setting and composition. Very nice image Geoffrey! Hope your holidays are great.

Thanks Daniel and Jim. Hope you had a great Christmas, and have happy new year. Daniel in the original I did extract a bit more detail in the darker blacks. Didn't want go much further. I'll take another look.
