I like the surf-in-the-background composition here John but I would like to see a bit more detail of that surf---not fully in focus, but a bit more---.The bird itself is well focused but the colour feels somewhat washed out to me. Maybe I'm wrong and this is a true rendering of colour but my sense is that it s/b a bit darker?

Great pose from the bird and composition works very well. Lovely pov and background too. The tones on the bird look a bit thin to me but perhaps that's what they look like - me not being familiar with this species.

Just a bit bright to me on the midtones, but I love the low angle, walking stance, and surf BG. Perhaps a a touch of CCW rotation would be needed.

Nicely framed, just a little washed out for me. I would without doubt speed up that shutter speed, image stabilisation is good but the subject is moving.
