f/4 500mm with 1.4
f/5.6
1/160
ISO 2500
This is one from when I first arrived at the Glen last week. It was still grey dark, before the sunrise. As I was parking my car in a 'passing place' on the single track road, I saw this grouse perched nearby. This is from the vehicle, with the window open and helped by a beanbag. I knew it looked too dark for a photograph, but with the low SS,(not as low as Artie's down below) and higher ISO, it worked for me. I never noticed the crystal forming within the rocks, until I looked at processing.
