This is one from when I first arrived at the Glen last week. It was still grey dark, before the sunrise. As I was parking my car in a 'passing place' on the single track road, I saw this grouse perched nearby. This is from the vehicle, with the window open and helped by a beanbag. I knew it looked too dark for a photograph, but with the low SS,(not as low as Artie's down below) and higher ISO, it worked for me. I never noticed the crystal forming within the rocks, until I looked at processing.

Hi Will, I'm not sure which image I like best, this one or the last.

Overall the WB looks off, plus you then need to address the Blue again, but in that order. It just looks too cool and you will easily see the blue in the beak. I sadly have to disagree with the choice of SS, but if the RAW is sharp at 100 fine :w3, you already know my thinking over the time. I think Tim's RP is heading in the right direction.
