Sometimes the late setting sun light puts too much orange in the feet and bills of these birds, but this pair came out just about right. This was taken at the same spot and time as my earlier snow goose posts 5 minutes from home in Ladner, B.C. 7DII, Sigma 150-600mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM APO Macro, ISO 640, f/9, 1/2000, tripod.

Hi Bob, I find this a lot better. The downward and upward wings pose really works for me. I also think you've framed it well, with a nice BG

Yes, I think this one works better than your previous snow geese shot: birds are a bit bigger in the frame, I think the background works better, tones look good and the divergent wing positions I find a nice touch. Look forward to seeing more.

Thanks Will & Glenn. The BG was tricky here, with stretches like this alternating rapidly with sections containing houses and farm buildings, creating a "shoot/wait, shoot/wait" kind of timing.
