Image captured in early October in Cape May, NJ. While walking through the pines it was a good idea to keep checking the upper branches. Spotted two of these juvies at the top of a dead tree. They may have been siblings. We watched for quite a while as they were taking off and landing and dodging a few intruders. C&C welcome.

Great eye contact, beautiful light, good detail. That was a great find. My only wish would have had them on a lower branch. Oh, and nicely processed.

Very nice frame Geoffrey. Background is perfect, light is gorgeous, detail stunning and your rendering of tone and colour great. You've also made this look almost like an eye-level shot. Great work.

Pretty much ditto Glenn's comments. The HA helps to make the bird not appear so high and the detail composition with the diagonal perch and colors work very well here. TFS
