Shrikes - one of my favourite species..... even with their reputation

It is amazing how many birds, (and animals), frequent backgrounds that they merge into, I suppose it is only natural ....... but the colours of certain birds have evolved chameleon-like to blend it.......... this shot is a perfect example of that.

I don't think that I am a fan of the flowers ......... but I tend to go for just simple shots anyway, so don't take any value from this comment

I like the set up. Details are excellent as they usually are with your shots. Love the tones of the whole image and the complementary background. Funny enough, I also find this shot a bit dark and I think it would benefit from being a bit brighter.

I love the setup, and I am OK with the brightness. I would only smooth out the stronger BG line intersecting with the tip of the bill, and perhaps also the one going up to the upper left corner. That is one beautifully weather perch!

Thanks guys. I also thought about smoothing the lines but i decided to keep them as is.
