I had hoped to go to Circle B Bar Reserve this morning but it was still closed due to hurricane rains flooding it. So opted for a local lake instead. This image of a hen Mallard landing was captured at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Very well captured Joe. I really like the incoming pose. Nice detail on the bird, and a lovely unshaded look on the underwings. Lovely colours on the BG and a nice POV.

Lovely capture Joseph, I love the contrast with the light BG and how we get the full incoming wing pose with still a nice look at the eye. The raised feet are nice too. I could see a bit more room on the upper LHC but I like the composition as is as well. TFS

Joseph; I too like the incoming or approach to this shot. I can also better appreciate a species as common as a female mallard from this shot too!

Joe, that's one fat looking duck. It's wings seem too small to support that huge body! The incoming aspect is excellent. Background is wonderful and tones, colours and IQ all first class. Interesting that you added canvas to the top and right. I would have added it to the left in particular and maybe a touch to the bottom: a bit more space for the bird to fly into. Thanks for sharing.

Mazel tov. You cannot do better than this. Love that the feet and the eyes are both sharp.
