Hi All,

This image was taken at Bear Lake, Utah-Idaho Border.

I was on the ground when I saw this one coming in to land right in front of me.

Hi Krishna, I like this dramatic pose with the forward wing position. Good DOF, sharp, and I quite like the two tone BG.

The plumage colour on this species is very similar to our Juvie Kelp Gull in SA.

Dynamic pose, good view of the full tail spread. I'm torn on the tan strip below - perhaps if the transition line was smoother? Good image nonetheless.

Beautiful frame, Krishna. You've got great tone and detail on the bird and I simply adore that fanned tail. The first thing that struck me when I saw this was the red-brown OOF horizon but I'm less sure whether that's a good or bad thing? I suspect the shot would become too simple if it wasn't there but it may be worth a try removing it and then come back to the two versions after a week or two to see what works best. Thanks for sharing.
