My wife found the caterpillar crawling by the decking so I picked a piece of fuchsia (one of the foodplants) placed it in the plamp and used the lawn as a backdrop. In very quick time he devoured two leaves and one of the flowers! Once photographed I placed him on the lower branches of the fuchsia bush. Next day we found another by the pizza oven - no idea where it came from, it must have been quite a crawl!
I had to do quite a bit of adjustment to saturation and luminosity to get the colours visually acceptable, the red contrasted very strongly with the green and the colours looked garish.

Sure sounds like this guy was hungry. Like the composition and the fuchsia plant. Nice light as well.

I like the story behind this one - and the image turned out great too! The colors look acceptable plus you have good light, sharpness, comp, and background. Very nicely done!
