Hi all,
Guess what, this is my 1000th thread that I have started here on BPN!!!!!! Can't believe from where I started & will all the encouragement, support & critique of the moderators & members I have to admit I have learnt a lot! My sincere thanks to all of you. Look forward to a 1000 more :S3:
Here is a cheetah frame from my recent trip. They are wonderful animals & am glad I got to see a few in the wild from close quarters.

CONGRATULATIONS, SANJEEV! Love your passion and enthusiasm, I really appreciate your participation here and all the time you put in - 3668 posts and 1000 threads, WOW!

Wonderful wild look on this cheetah's face. Techs look good. I like the composition and especially the space you have given this girl to look into. I would try open the blacks a bit, especially nose. A little unsure about the colour of the cheetah's fur, but I really like the drama the presence of blood creates - looks like the subject just made the kill, slightly out of breath, looking around, making sure no other predators around...
Looking forward to another 1000 images from you:cheers:

Kind regards,

Hi Sanjeev - Congrats on the milestone thread! That's a lot of threads started. I remember when you first joined BPN and you certainly have grown as a photographer. Thanks for all of your participation. Nice image to celebrate your milestone. I like the comp and the bokeh. If it were mine I would reduce the reds on the cheetah slightly. I also agree with Gabriela on the blacks of the nose. Nice one.

TFS and looking forward to the next 1000 threads as well as your comments,
Rachel

Wonderful shot for your 1,000th post! Really fitting. Great drama here, excellent sharpness, tones and colour and top expression on the cheetah's face. Well done.

Hi Sanjeev -- Congratulations on your 1000th post here at BPN, 10x more than what i have posted . Love your enthusiasm !

The image is fantastic as well , especially loved the blood dripping from its chin and looking gory at the same time. Agree regarding the blacks but all in all a very fine image with lovely details in it .

TFS ! and wish to see many more images from you .

Hi Sanjeev, nice portrait and I love the open, blood stained mouth and alert expression. You just know this Cheetah is just drawing breath after the kill, keen to eat as much before it's found by larger predators.

The main issue is the WB, if you go negative on both Temp and Tint, more so on Tint you will address the main point that Gabriela highlighted, but it's the magenta not red you need to reduce. Adjusting also the Whites and Lights will also help and certainly the shadow of the nose. Colour thereafter is a personal POV perhaps?

A fitting image for the 1001 posting.
