I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is a juvie Common Tern. Taken at Brigantine one morning several weeks ago.
D500, Sigma 150-600C @ 480 mm, ISO 800, 1/2500s @ f/8 manual, HH.

No correction needed on the id of this very nice image. Like the soft light and the underwing details.

Thank you Artie. From the point of artistic composition I can see your point. Since he was coming in for a landing (he was squawking at a sibling sitting on a railing) I thought he needed some flying room beneath.

I do wish the light came in more from your right to light the flanks and belly, but I love the wing position and the calling pose. Good BG too.

Thanks Daniel. Agree about the light. Luckily it hadn't gotten overly harsh.
