Killdeer nesting

Came across this nesting killdeer a couple of days ago. She really blends in well with the flotsam on the beach. Would have probably not even noticed her but she started calling and led us off with the ''broken wing' dance after a minute or so. This shot was just before she got up. I thought about a tighter crop but opted to show more of the environment in this one.

Hi Leroy I could go with these or a tighter crop As presented would take some from the top which I feel will strengthen the image. Amazing dof for the wide open setting !!! Excellent feel !!!

Typical Killdeer habitat. Agree with Alfred on the top crop but not on the "amazing d-o-f" as the foreground elements are totally defocused. Nonetheless, the image is effective. Good EXP.
