More antics from the two Juvenile Solitary Sandpipers at the catch basin. The one being pushed under water, for a split second, was the tall one warning the other in previous post. The tables turned quickly.
If you look closely, you can see the head and the left eye beneath the water. He sprung up and wanted to continue the skirmish. C&C welcome.

Another great action shot, Geoffrey. The IQ, tones, background and crop all look excellent to me. I'm happy to see more!

Neat pose and action. That must have been exciting. But again, the head of the subject simply does not look very sharp to me. I'd love to hear what others think. If you agree, a bit of selective sharpening in the form of a Contrast Mask might help: Unsharp Mask at 15/65/0.

You guys certainly where in the right spot at the right time! I am enjoying the series and think you and Bill should post to story sequences!
Light a bit harsh but the action is good and trumps the bright light.
The head is sharp but not "tack sharp". The problem is that if you do a contrast mask as Art suggests things start to get crunchy as evidenced in Bill's post.

Gail, Please do not forget that all of these are very large crops :) And, specifically with this image, the sharpest focus to me seems clearly past the bird's head as the tertials appear to be razor sharp.
