The shape and sizes of these fruiting bodies (that we call mushrooms) never ceases to amaze me.
This smal cup shaped specimen has its fertile spores lining the cup interior.
A small green frog with red eyes peering over the rim would have been nice :D

Hi John,
Just a bit of BG cleanup on a few white lines above the center of cup and RH side of the mushroom.............everything else is right on and the different color and specimen anre great! If you had a frog in there...........I'd run out of adjectives!

Amazing subject and image. Your frog idea would have made it even better, I would even settle for a beetle or centi or millipede.

John I love the texture and three dimensional feel of this image. The gray and brown of this cup fungi really pops against the green moss.
