Simple but beautiful at the same time Joe - looks almost 'painterly'. Nice details in the whites and the bird is at a good angle - whats not to like?

Well done Joseph. The whites look good with plenty of detail. Looks like you were able to get low, it make the background pleasing.

Lovely shot Jo, love the texture, real depth to the bird. Did you use detail extractor or just clarity or both?

Hi Jon, all post processing was done in Lightroom. After minor adjustments on the original I converted the image to a 16 bit TIFF in Photoshop. Back to Lightroom with the TIFF, sharpening and exposure. Then I masked the background working on only that to get the look and exposure I wanted. Double processing the image, settings for the bird and settings for the background different. I have NIK collection on the computer but do not use it. Thank you for viewing and commenting.

Very nice Joe.
It almost looks like there is a watercolor mask on the BG.
Great POV and whites look great,
Gail
