Another from my hide at the loch. The Grey Wagtail(juve), was watching the moth fly by, then pounced and caught it.

Great shot Will with perfect timing. I can see the intense concentration by the Wagtail. The lighting looks a bit bright on my monitor.

Excellent timing and shot here, Will. From experience, these shots are very hard to pull off. Inclined to agree with John that overall it looks a touch bright. I suspect this may be because you were working on getting detail into the shadows resulting from the strong overhead light?

Hi Will, excellent timing and vision on this one. You have a lot of blown highlights, peg those back and it 'may' address both Bill & Glenn concerns. Adding (and purely personal taste) a hint more saturation say 10+ I think helps. My only concern is your choice of crop, perhaps less above and a bit more on the RHS, but still retaining the large amount below???

Worth the wait in the hide for sure.

Thanks for that guys. Yes the light wasn't very favourable. I never managed to capture the bird when it did pounce. Here it is after it had caught the moth, it flew to another branch, which was slightly shaded.
