A pair of lionesses share a tender moment after enjoying a fresh kill. The blood stained face & paws tell it all.

Sanjeev, lovely caring moment and almost a juxta position with the blood stained faces of apex predators that are naturally born to take life. It's a thought provoking image Snajeev, I'd like you to have been slightly lower for this,I'd imagine that was impossible, and this is about as low as one can get with this type of animal but I feel it would make the scene even more intimate than it already is.

take care

Great shot! Not too dim, as it happens with such photos.

Agree with Stu, a slight twist on things here Sanjeev. Any frames with the tongue out, that would have been a great addition to the capture I feel. I might suggest loosing the branches coming in on the RHS as it would help, with no harm to the overall image.

If you have the time, try going minus on the Tint, upping the White slider and reducing the Purple & Magenta, colour to me looks cleaner.

Hi Sanjeev - I agree the blood stained faces really make this stand out. They tell a story as does the full and sagging belly. You handled the mixed light well. Position in the frame also works for me.

Nicely captured interaction here, especially as it seems that lions will using flop down and sleep after they've fed. Surprising to see one still upright! I also like the clearly visible spotting on the cats - something I hadn't really notice before. I'd be tempted to lighten shadows on the rear lion's head to lift it a little.

A fine shot good detail. The colours initially looked fine, I applied Steve's suggestion - it makes a positive difference - quite a difference!
