How about an orange eye for the theme... I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Beautifully captured portrait with remarkable detail, Joe. Like the side top light enhancing all the fine feather and beak textures. Great close view of the orange eye.

Hi Joe, I love snapping these birds when I get the opportunity.

The open bill adds to the capture and the crop nicely echoes the capture. Personally I might open the Exposure up say 0.15 (figures personal choice) and drop the Blue. Just watch your f/stop & SS, I've found anything from f/9-f/16 because they can just angle a fraction, but the DoF may pull it back.
