Yesterday at Circle B Bar Reserve I came across this rabbit munching on grass. Unusual to see them in the open but I don't think it could resist the lush green grass. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Joe, great spot, like the slightly off set position of the subject and the icing is the blade of grass in the mouth. The ear being backlit for me, is the highlight and just adds to the overall capture. I think you did extremely well in both fieldcraft in getting close and the POV. Techs, well I don't think I've seen you go so high on the ISO, so kudos on that and in the overall PP of a higher ISO image.

As it stands, to me it's looking a bit cool in Temp and a little washed out in the FG grass. I think you are trying to do everything in one go, therefore I would suggest you double process for the subject and then the environment, export as Smart Objects and combine, the you can hone the whole image. You then get the punch and more of that lovely ear. Running a bit more NR in the top third of the BKG won't hurt I feel.

Nice one Joe.

Hi Steve... WDYT? I used yours for an example doing it all in Lightroom. Yours on one side and mine on the other making adjustments to match yours. Good learning experience.

Pretty darn good Joe , however is it getting towards what you saw, remembered? Was it of help and can you build on it?

Joe great craft, wonderful detail and utterly fascinating to read through the dialogue, much to admire for a largomorph fan. Hmm warmth much pondering on my part I wouldn't change much on your framing Joe it's really cool,
As mentioned something deeply lovely about a backlit bunny's ears

Hi Joe - Really nice job on the rp. Love the low pov, the position in frame and the backlit ear showing the veins. Well done
