Nice frame of these bear cubs i like the composition and the light is nice. I like the how the tongue is hanging out of the right bears mouth just a little bit. The on in the middle looks the most serious of the three and the left one is just chilling. Are these the same bears as the last post of yours with bear cubs?

Definitely one of your best here Rachel, just so much going on with the beautiful cubs. Great expressions, and they all look so full of mischief.

Eye level POV works perfectly and I like your choice of framing with the negative space above.

A lovely scene Rachel, why is it there's always one that doesn't read the script? Already it's easy to see 3 very different characters, nicely depicted.

This trio of cubs is just adorable! I really enjoyed viewing, Rachel.

Lovely colours and tonality and nice detail (love the tongue sticking out and those paws and claws...).

I also like the little fella looking to the left, this is a fun pose that breaks monotony and adds interest to the scene overall. A tad more space in front of him would have been nice though.

I have to echo the word superb Rachel this is wonderful. I actually adore the left cub almost looking and rolling it seems out of frame.Way too cute rhs tongues and one straight down the middle. For me if they all were gazing at you this would not have the same drama and feel
just gorgeous Rachel.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I'm glad you like this one. Unfortunately no more room to the left. And yes, John, the prior post of the two cubs sitting was of 2 of these 3. I saw 2 different sets of cubs while at Silver Salmon Creek, these 3 that were about one year old and a pair of two year old cubs as well.

Hi Rachel, nice capture and great to get all three in shot, sitting too.

Like the low POV, but like Marc, I wished for more to the left for the cub to look into, as you just needed to pull back on the zoom a fraction more and then recompose. Light looks good creating some nice tonal depth. Personally I would have gone for more DoF f/9 as you had plenty of ISO and as the water was far enough away it would not have compromised the water. As presented I feel a tighter 16 x 9 (or 10) crop, loosing more from above would help, I just find there is too much dead space which isn't working. If you do revisit the crop then I would open look at the blacks in the dark shadows as they are clipped.

Looks like the weeks trip was a very productive one, nice.

Hi Rachel, great title and of course very apt for the image. Love the lazy poses, eye contact, and they all look like balls of fur. I do like how we can see their claws, and the protruding tongue of the cub on the RHS takes this over the top.
