This Mantisfly (family Mantispidae, Climaciella sp.) is neither mantis nor fly, but rather is related to Lacewings (order Neuroptera) and is a striking mimic of a Paper Wasp (Polistes sp.). Canon 1DX II, 100mm macro. 1/160, f/16, ISO 400, KX-800 macro twin lite (diffused) as main light, hand held.I cleaned up some tiny bits of debris on the leaf.
