This on was feeding a nice fat fruit beetle to the chicks, a bit tight, but in transparency days you wanted to use every grain of silver halide that Kodak provided. EOS IV, 100 - 400 mm lens, scanned, I will learn to add canvas top, bottom and left.

Hi Loukie I like it at eye level as presented and great having a meal. Head position is fine so is the exposure. As presented looks over sharpened difficult to see at this small size, would go to 800 pixels !!! Good scan !!!

Beautiful bird and moment captured. It does look a bit oversharpened and would be nice to see at 800 pixels.

Fantastic bird and light, Loukie.

There's a thread in the Edu resources Forum on how to add canvas:

Very striking image Loukie and I agree about it looking a tad oversharpened . Love it that you were able to capture this at eye level and the bug in the beak is a real bonus. Fine work Loukie !!!

Nice scan Loukie!! I would like to see this at 800x800. What scanner are you using? I am thinking about upgrading.

Wonderful bird and bug bug but too small, over-SATed, and way over-sharpened. Back to the basics!

The scanner was Nikon Coolscan 4000ED, now superseded by the 5000, Regards
