Hi Arsdel Very sharp, good pose and dof Exposure looks good might lighten it just a tad. The light bg right around the bird does catch the eye and wish it wasn't there. Also the light on the bird was more form the left leaving a dark area around the chest !!! Still a very appealing image and looking forward to many more !!!! I like it !!!

Great pose, eye contact and details. I agree with Al regarding the bright spot in the BG and you could run some NR on the BG.

A nice picture that could be made better with some extra post-processing. Great advise from Alfred and Axel.

Hi Arsdel!

I really like the bird, nice and sharp with great details. I agree with the post processing advise from Alfred, Axel and Fabs ... and I would also tend to get rid of the bright spider web at the same time. Maybe even try to trim the branch stub if you are not opposed.

Great suggestions above esp. Brian's with regards to getting rid of the sawed-off stub of branch on the perch. Was this image created at a feeder or other set-up?

This was taken at a feeder. They love Grape Jelly!!!

Thanks Arsdel. Then you have too do a much better job of selecting and positioning your perches... There is a great section on setting up your backyard in ABP II. It will teach you that the perch and the background are even more important than the subject when you are trying to create artisitic iimages when working at feeders.
