Globe thistle at lake's edge.
Canon 40D, EF 70-200mm f/4L
ISO 100; f4 @ 1/320th
AWB, Eval Meter, Handheld
Processed in camera raw and converted to B&W
This was a tricky one because I wanted more contrast but it kept wanting to blow the highlights on the surrounding "fuzz." I did do some burning & dodging and that seemed to help but I'm still not sure if I got it right. When something is this white (and backlit) is it okay for it to appear a bit "hot?" Comments appreciated!
