Approaching 'Fog bow'

With my heart in my mouth this was the first and only time I venture up into the 'Crows nest', as I thought it might be funky to capture this approaching Fog bow, plus to capture it with a less than conventional lens. I've posted a few here using this lens, but never from such a high vantage point. The Gull is either fortunate or needs to go???

A funky image indeed...! Not a lot of fisheye images appear here, although Andrew dabbles occasionally as well. I like the inference of a 'Globe or world of ice' that the image portrays, not sure if that was that the intent but it what is conveyed to me.. I do find the bird a bit of an attention seeker however so I would remove it to let the eye wander freely over the ice.. As always, nicely processed with lots of detail.

Thanks Don, a lens that for sure has 'limited' usage, but good to explore and have in the 'kit bag' on occasions, would love to get an Elephant with this, that really could be fun. :bg3:

Hey Steve...I love a good fisheye image and this one is exceptional with great details in the chunks of ice. I think you need to leave the gull in as it adds a very interesting quality. I would love to see you capture an elephant image with the fisheye lens, especially if you could capture it at the lens' minimum focusing distance :S3:

It's hard to make a fisheye image works for me, Steve. But they always give that fresh takes on otherwise a mundane scene. Another vote to remove the bird.
