This guy was bathing in the tidal marsh, but was unfortunately obscured by a clump of vegetation, so I missed the bathing shot. When he finished, he walked out into view and posed nicely. Again, I was pleased to get an Oystercatcher shot in a setting other than on the beach which is where I have generally gotten them in the past.

Good job with the SH and the EXP. I like the raised foot of course and the fact that you were high enough to avoid cutting the head with the line formed by the bottom of the grasses. It looks as if the light was somewhere from behind the bird.

Where?

Thanks Artie. This was in Horseshoe Cove at Sandy Hook.

The raised foot is nice and the water drops add interest. Also pretty cool to see one not on a beach like you said.
