Flies ?ID

I saw these two flies on a rose bush in the back garden but I am unsuccessful in getting close to an ID. I assume they are ovipositing.
All C&C welcome.

No from what I remember I had a bit of a crick in my neck when I finished, anyhow glad you like it.

Really like how both the flies are in focus, nice background. Wonder what it would look like flipped the other way so the flies are facing up.

The main issue with that would be the leaves growing upside down.

Yup - Sawflies (which are actually a type of stingless wasp and not a fly at all). :S3: The photo looks like it was well worth the crick in your neck - excellent sharpness, soft light, good comp, and a pleasing background!
