This is one of the famous canal bridges in Amsterdam, Keizersgracht. I had hoped for a sunset shot, but it was to cold!
Your CCs will be appreciated.
April and freezing!

As presented this scene works for me Mike. The light on the building really helps to give the image a bit of pop. If the building were shaded the image would lose its appeal. I would actually like to see this scene as a night shot as I think it may have a very nice look to it.

Hi Andrew
Thanks for your feedback. My intention was to get the scene just as the night lights came on, with some ambient light still present. However Amsterdam had an unexpected cold spell and it was Winter in Spring. My wife and 1 year old daughter found it intollerable so we left.

I had hoped for something like this:

Hi Mike, I also really like this scene it is well composed with the leading lines taking the viewers eye to the bulidings and a touch of color in the water anchors the frame. I would suggest just toning down the brightness of the building just a tad.

Hi Mike.. I too like the composition. My preference would have been to shoot a little earlier to get more of the good light in the scene, but I get that the opportunity to to that does not always make itself apparent.

Thanks Don
Travelling with family makes photography difficult at times. Our priority was to get some food for our daughter! If taken earlier, I think the light would have been harsher. Anyway, my original plan was to get the sunset photo as outlined below.
